About Tokyo Buffet & Grill

Tokyo Buffet & Grill is a chinese buffet in Wyoming, Michigan. It is listed at 5316 Clyde Park Ave SW Ste N, Wyoming, MI 49509, which places it among the local businesses of Wyoming that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 am–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (616) 724-4555. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. We were there last week. They had a sushi bar, chinese dessert bar, shrimp, pork, chicken options, all the things you expect but they also have like, pineapple chicken, black pepper chicken, that kind of thing. Delicious food overall. It's pretty clean, for a high volume buffet. Floors were pretty sticky... and they're usually busy when we go so stock gets rotated frequently. The orange chicken is a bit spicier than average but not spicier than jalapenos. The whole mushrooms were still a little crunchy in the middle, slightly undercooked. Runs about 13-15 bucks AYCE depending on how old you are, though my complaint would be that they don't always label their food correctly. I had to ask multiple times what kind of filling something like an egg roll or dumpling was stuffed with. My family has a shellfish allergy (I have a sensitivity not an allergy) so I have to be careful, you can develop them without knowing if you're predisposed. Weird thing though. The overhead playlist was _just_ Michael Jackson. We were there about 45 minutes and it was nonstop MJ... So if you hate MJ... IDK maybe skip it lol. Some instrumental background music would do wonders for the atmosphere here.

Flavor of food does not match the price. Service fell behind on gathering empty plates despite having plenty of help - enough help to have a towel twirling competition in the corner. They do have a pretty decent selection but the over cooked crab and claws could be taken off the menu to help with the price. They offer sushi, oddly it all tastes pretty much the same. They also have a hibachi. Although everything on there is pretty much available on the lines, so there isn't a point to do it. I will say I am glad that the place has fallen out of the constant cycle of being condemned due to rodent infestation. Glad the new ownership has rectified that.

You will want to eat here! The place is super clean, and the food is great. Unlike many other places, they even have hand sanitizer available before grabbing food, along with gloves if you do not want to touch the serving spoons, which I really appreciated. Shoutout to Daisy and Sunny!! Sunny was AWESOME at the sushi bar and even made us a special roll ❀️

Ordered a whole meal for my family, a bento box, Cream Cheese Rangoon, Honey Chicken, and fried rice, what I got? Sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. When I called the store TWICE the host hung up on me BOTH times. When I asked for the manager the third time. I could hear her talking to the manager, Michael in the back and them avoiding me. That tells me they KNOW they sent the wrong food. Heard the hostess even ask if she wanted Michael to have her tell me he wasn't there. COULD HEAR THE WHOLE THING AND TOLD HER THAT AND WAS HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN

Whenever we’re in town, we like to stop at Tokyo. We have never left disappointed. It can get a bit busy at times. It’s best to try to get in there as soon as they open especially on Sunday. The staff is very friendly and keep the place clean. The hibachi grill has a great menu to choose from. The Sushi Bar has a wonderful selection. this is an all-around good buffet.
